4 Missing Cases You Need To Know About

4 Missing Cases You Need To Know About

This week I decided to switch up a bit how I cover cases. Instead of covering two and going in depth I want to share with you a tidbit of four unique missing persons cases that are currently unsolved. I am asking you to do your own research into these cases and really learn these stories and share them. Share with family, friends, co workers, on your social media. I want to bring justice to these cases and help the families  find the closure they deserve.

I think often times we're so wrapped up in the main character illusion, that we don't pay enough attention to strangers. For example, can you describe three people that you saw in passing yesterday? Do you know what time you saw them? Can you remember their facial expression? I wonder how eyewitnesses are able to come forward and give their interpretation of situations, because most times we're so wrapped up in ourselves that it's hard to pay attention or give attention to anything or anyone else.

The four cases I'm going to talk to you about today are four different people. They are from different parts of the country they live seemingly different lives, and they probably have never met or come in contact or heard of one another. Which is the same with us background characters whose disappearance made more of an impact than they’ll ever know. I'm going to tell the brief story of Elaine Park, Daniel Robinson, Jennifer Kesse, and Maria Hill. One person is notable from the podcast and another notable from a separate disappearance. Another known for going missing in her own home and the last a person who went missing only a few days ago in Washington DC. Though I'm not going to go into the amount of detail that I usually do I hope just enough of what I'm telling perks your ears up to do some investigating of your own. This time it may not be so much of seeing yourself or family or friends in them but just noticing that people that seemed so regular, that you could see in passing deserve just as much of attention and justice as a family or friend. Because deep down I think we all know if it were us or someone that we cared about we would want their story to be heard.

Elaine Park-

In February 2018 aspiring actress Elaine Park disappeared from her Hollywood apartment. At the time Elaine was 20 years old with long  brown hair, almond dark brown eyes, standing at about 5 foot 5 inches at 125 pounds. She was last seen wearing jean shorts and a hoodie, but could possibly have also been in Gray sweatpants. Elaine was a creative. She loves to draw, she had tattoos, and was into a lot of different music. She also liked poetry and could rap. Elaine should be 25 today and though it is not clear what happened there are indicators to what may have caused her disappearance. Before going missing an allegation was made that Elaine was sexually assaulted back stage at a concert featuring artists  Playboi Carti and Father.

With artist names like that tied to sexual assault it's a wonder that her case hasn't made more major headlines. However her case is not only infamous due to the different people involved but has been gaining awareness due to the popular podcast To Live and Die in LA. It's streaming on all platforms so you should check it out to really hear the step-by-step unfolding of Elaine's disappearance.

The day Elaine went missing she was known to have spoken to her friend Sadie the day before. There's footage of her leaving her apartment, and it was known that she went to see her ex boyfriend Divine. They spent the night together, and he claims that he didn't see her after she left. There are so many moving pieces to this case and so many unanswered questions. This case is still active and the more people know about it and talk about it the closer we are to getting answers.

Daniel Robinson-

Daniel Robinson has been missing since June 23rd 2021. He was last seen in Phoenix AZ, and his story is bizarre to say the least. Daniel is a geologist, he spends a lot of his time outdoors exploring. He is African American and stands about 5’9 with a slender build and a warm smile. He's incredibly intelligent and got along with people well. He was pretty close with his father and even though he spent a lot of time traveling they stayed in decent touch. But when his father didn’t hear from him in late June he began to get concerned.

Daniel’s Jeep Renegade was found about 2 miles from his job site on July 20th 2021. Daniel has been missing before the vehicle was found, there were two confirmed searches that included the area where Daniel was last seen an where Daniel's vehicle was discovered. Those searches resulted in no findings. The problem with this case is more so the environment. Arizona is among a unique place with a lot of natural conditions that wreak havoc on human body remains so if a person is missing in a desert situation their rescue has to be fast. Unfortunately a lot of police officers aren't equipped or they don't have the appropriate amount of training to search in these remote areas. A petition has been created in order to push Daniel's investigation from being looked at as a missing person too a criminal investigation. That would allow for more resources to be used in searching for Daniel.

Daniel’s disappearance became popular after the Gabby Petito disappearance. She went missing in a similar area as Daniel. And her disappearance brought up the thought, if someone like that can go missing in the wilderness or in anywhere outside of a metropolitan area then how many other people are out there? Since the searches for Daniel had been done six human remains have been recovered and none of them have been Daniel. However with the help of a private investigator Daniel's family was able to uncover one more strange thing ,detectives told the family that data showed that Daniel was driving in excess of 30 plus mph at the point of impact and all the airbags deployed because the car basically crashed, however the investigator found that the car was driving under 30 mph and that the car was also cranked in excess of 40 times after the initial impact. So in latent terms the car was driving normal and then was restarted 40 times, like putting a key in the ignition over and over and over. The vehicle was also driven 7 miles after the initial crash and airbag deployment the damage of the Jeep was not consistent with where the vehicle was found, nor did it match the terrain of the desert where it was found. So the question is what happened to Daniel? Was there someone else in that car? Have police taken a more nonchalant manner on the investigation when they should have been taken a serious one? That answer is obvious, yes. Today there have been no warrants out for Daniel Robinson's disappearance and the Buckeye Police Department have not changed the theory of the missing person to a criminal investigation. And though a lot of other cases have now been opened up due to the finding of human rains, Daniel continues to be missing.

Jennifer Kesse- In January of 2006 24 year old Jennifer Kesse went missing in Orlando, Florida. She was your typical 20 something. A beautiful girl with long blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. She was in a long distance relationship with her boyfriend Rob Allen, they were in love and had a future. One week before she was supposed to take a trip to Saint Croix with him all her friends and family could attest that she was so excited. This was the week that was going to change everything. After returning from her trip she called her mom and gushed about how beautiful the weekend was. She also spoke to her brother and father. However that evening on January 23rd 2006 at around 10:00 PM she called her boyfriend and the call didn't go well, even after a beautiful trip it just seemed to feel like this long distance experience wasn't exactly up to par. And that was the last time anyone heard from Jennifer. On Tuesday January 24th 2006 Jennifer didn't show up to work her phone was going to voicemail and no one could reach her. Her family drove to her condo and everything seemed intact there was still makeup on the counter, it was decently tidy however her parents did notice that her phone and keys were missing. Her family began to put out signs all over saying that she was missing and two days later her black Chevy Malibu was found in another apartment complex about a mile away. Everyone thought “OK, we found the car maybe she needed some time to get away we're definitely going to find her soon,” but that was not the case. Detectives reviewed surveillance and they found that there was a person parking her car, but they were unable to identify who this person was. It is believed that Jennifer was abducted, there have been a couple people that have come to mind but after 15 years no one has heard from Jennifer. She was known as the girl who had it all and just disappeared. Her family continues to look for her and fight for Justice to know what happened to Jennifer

Maria Hill - I was going to cover a case completely different from this one. There was a young 14 year old girl name Tanya Rector who went missing on Thursday. I couldn't find anything on her and I was about to make an entire call for justice when I checked the Twitter of the DC Police Department and found that she was safe. I wasn't sure what to do I kept scrolling and found that another woman named Maria Hill had gone missing the very day after Tanya. In this case there has been no news reports. So naturally my enrage of a 14 year old girl going missing and thankfully being found has now turned to a 45 year old woman who's gone missing. She's been gone since Friday, and I know police usually like to wait about 48 hours so she's just been reported missing as of two hours ago. There’s a crazy chance by the time I published this she will be found but in the chance that is not the case I'm going to report it anyway. Maria is described as a black woman standing 5 foot 3 inches and anywhere between 115 to 130 pounds. She has black hair brown eyes and a really pretty smile. She was last seen on the 900 block of Rhode Island Ave northwest and last heard from at about 2:00 PM I've posted her picture along with contact information in the photo section of this blog. Hopefully by the time I post this I'll be posting an update that she's been found.

All four people look different, a young black man, a young Korean girl, an older black woman and a young white woman. They might have been someone that you saw at the train station, or your local coffee shop. Maybe you would run into someone like this on campus or one of them at the grocery store just passing by. In our universe they are background characters. Because in other peoples Universe we are background characters. But each of us have a story a life that we live and people that really care about us and it's the same for these four missing people. We have to fight for Justice to find them, because we would want someone to do the same for us or someone we love. So please spread these stories and lookout for yourselves and one another. Pay attention to things, when you're at the bar look people in the eyes. If you see a fight check the time, try to remember what certain people are wearing, when things stand out you never know who you could be helping.
